Best 120V Home Sauna: What to Compare

A 120V sauna can reduce installation complexity, but the voltage label alone is not enough to choose one.

SaunaVerdicts take: Compare wattage, amperage and dedicated-circuit requirements before comparing features. A 120V / 20 A cabin may still require electrical work.

Low-load and high-load 120V are different projects

JNH currently lists the Tosi 2-Person at 1,540 W / 15 A, while HigherDOSE lists its 2-Person cabin at 2,250 W / 20 A with a dedicated circuit. Both are 120V.

Capacity labels are not standardized

Two 2-person cabins can have different bench dimensions and exterior footprints. Compare actual interior width and depth for how you plan to sit.

Placement rules can eliminate a candidate

Check indoor/outdoor rating, ambient temperature limits and clearance requirements. Do not move an indoor cabin outdoors simply because it is sheltered.

Shortlist

The current JNH Tosi 2-Person, JNH Joyous+ 2-Person and HigherDOSE 2-Person illustrate three different electrical and heater architectures worth comparing.
