Outdoor models need an exterior envelope
Current outdoor-specific products may add weather-resistant cladding, insulation and operating-temperature specifications. JNH, for example, publishes a dedicated outdoor Arki model rather than describing every indoor cabin as weather-ready.
Foundation and drainage become primary
The sauna needs a stable, level base and a plan for water movement around the structure. Site preparation can exceed the cost difference between cabin models.
Electrical routing is more involved
Outdoor runs can involve burial, disconnects, weather-rated components and local requirements. Electrical requirements vary by exact model, jurisdiction, conductor length, ambient conditions and code.
